Improved ISR for IEEE 802.11ah Nonlinearity Compensation via Adjustable Constellation Borders

چکیده
Iterative subcarrier regularization (ISR) has been recently proposed as a receiver-side remedy for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) nonlinearity. It allows the power amplifier of OFDM transmitters to operate at lower input back-off more efficient uplinks. However, compensation ability cannot align with increasing channel quality, because standard quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) used in ISR may eliminate due erroneous decisions. To solve this issue, an improved version was flexibly adjust constellation borders QAM and numerically optimize it based on IEEE 802.11ah (hereinafter referred 802.11ah) specifications. Simulations show that scheme not only improves converged bit error rate but also accelerates its own convergence, especially high thereby achieving better efficiency Internet Things clients without additional computational complexity.

متن کاملImproved Surrogate Data for Nonlinearity Tests.
Current tests for nonlinearity compare a time series to the null hypothesis of a Gaussian linear stochastic process. For this restricted null assumption, random surrogates can be constructed which are constrained by the linear properties of the data. We propose a more general null hypothesis allowing for nonlinear rescalings of a Gaussian linear process. We show that such rescalings cannot be a...
متن کاملNonlinearity compensation in digital radio systems
Digital radio links with bandlimited pulses exhibit a severe performance degradation when the transmitter high power amplifier operates near saturation. To cope with the increase of nonlinear intersymbol interference due to the amplifier nonlinearities, a discrete-time Volterra system can be used to process the transmitted data. We present an efficient technique for implementing adaptive data p...

For effective use of frequency band, carrier superposing (common band) technique has been introduced to satellite communication systems. Meanwhile the satellite’s Traveling Wave Tube Amplifier (TWTA) is preferred to be operated near saturation level for power efficiency. However nonlinearity characteristics of TWTA around that level become the cause of interference for carrier superposing syste...
متن کاملDisturbance Observer-Based Simple Nonlinearity Compensation for Matrix Converter Drives
This paper presents a new method to compensate the nonlinearity for matrix converter drives using disturbance observer. The nonlinearity of matrix converter drives such as commutation delay, turn-on and turn-off time of switching device, and on-state switching device voltage drop is modeled by disturbance observer and compensated. The proposed method does not need any additional hardware and of...
